This spring is no different but it seems like everything is more accentuated. Last fall Kathie and I planted about 100 bulbs so earlier we could look out our back window and see bunches of tulips and daffodils. Of course I have to get my gnomes out to make them be even more picturesque
Our yard is an interesting contrast...
If you stand in the middle of the pasture and look north... you see the gorgeous, loaded apple blossoms.
Look South... and you see the mighty Clark fork-- gradually rising up to fill out gully and the slough... and the space in between. Usually the river is about a 1/2 a mile away and we have maybe 6 inches of water in the slough. That gate there is usually where we walk to go SEE the river. Now it IS the river!
So far we have been fortunate- we have several feet of bank before it reaches our pasture-- but it is certainly close by. It's fascinating to watch the river rise -- it can change from morning to evening and certainly from day to day.
I will close with that... with more to come -- this could be a lot of fun. now to figure out how to upload photos from my phone to my blog... Lesson #2-- here we come!

Nancy-
